Abstract:

A study examined whether adults with developmental disabilities participate in religious activities. A total of 92 adults with developmental disabilities from a sheltered employment work site participated. Among other results, it was found that 52 percent of the participants indicated that they had attended church in the past seven days. Of these church attenders, 88 percent went to a “Christian Church,” 48 percent attended church with a family member, and 46 percent knew the name of their church. Additional results and conclusions are provided.
