Abstract:
A study examined the support provided by 69 local churches to individuals with disabilities. The results revealed that 81 percent of the churches were attended by individuals with developmental disabilities and that the churches provided support in such ways as food, transportation, opportunities for service to the church and the community, and social/emotional support.
